wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Vision of the Spiritual Abuse Collective Community Forum<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To provide a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and purposeful space for people of different faiths and no faith to engage in respectful dialogue, discussion and challenge around the topic of spiritual abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aims of the Community Forum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To provide space for support, meeting and working together as we seek to address spiritual abuse in our own contexts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To share the wisdom we all bring to the forum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To develop best practices and potential solutions for working with spiritual abuse and related issues, focusing on areas highlighted by:<ul><li>learning reviews,<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>research,<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>survivor voice and<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>discussion within the forum membership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Guidelines for Forum Use<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Community Guidelines ensure everyone can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a voice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to dialogue, discussion, and potential solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find support and community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 but not at the expense of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These guidelines outline how we should relate to each other. Everyone on the Forum must follow these guidelines. The guidelines apply to all parts of the forum, including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your behaviour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your responses to the content and behaviour of others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spiritual Abuse Collective Community Forum should be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Safe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supportive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Positive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cynhwysol<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderators will investigate any issues identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone should feel welcome in The Spiritual Abuse Collective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We want to create a supportive space where people can<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get to know one another<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share knowledge, skills, experience, and wisdom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in community events e.g. online seminar round table events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give and receive support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to empower, encourage, and support each other. This should be the basis of how we relate to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve this forum members should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Play an active role in ensuring everyone feels welcome, supported, encouraged, and empowered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treat everyone\u2019s voice with equal value<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect others faith, beliefs, culture, or viewpoints including those of no faith<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect others wishes not to discuss matters of faith<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage in dialogue and discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disagree and challenge the perspective, not the person<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain respect, dignity, and value of all where there is disagreement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider and reflect on all views and post with kindness when commenting or responding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain confidentiality within the forum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Forum members should not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>promote their faith, evangelize, or proselytize in any way<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>post content or engage in behaviour that singles out, bullies, or harasses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>post content that violates anyone\u2019s intellectual property<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invade anyone&#8217;s privacy, libel them, or undermine their rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cultivate general toxic behaviour or other offensive content. This includes anything others may find offensive, extremist, or unlawful<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please help us to keep the forum tidy by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>posting under the relevant topic,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping posts on topic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you would like to suggest a new topic to be added, sending a request to the moderation team using the \u2018contact a moderator\u2019 button on the forum page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, there are specific guidelines for specific groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Research Collaboration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum actively encourages research collaboration. A Higher Education Institution must oversee all research. This should include supervision, support, and ethical approval processes. Researchers are responsible for ensuring this, not the forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mutual support between researchers within the forum does not and should not replace supervision or support within a Higher Education Institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Survivors<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Any forum member may have trauma and\/or abuse experiences. This should inform how we relate to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be those who, for various reasons, wish to remain anonymous and may use pseudonyms when posting in the forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To register to participate in the forum, you are required to provide a name and email address. This personal data will be stored securely in line with our GDPR policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Admin Team and Moderators will do everything they can to maintain a safe, secure, and confidential space. There are limits of confidentiality in the forum due to the number of members of the forum and our inability to prevent text being copied, logins being shared etc. The Admin Team and Moderators cannot guarantee confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any individual experiences should only be shared in general terms. This forum is not a safe space for sharing detailed experience, and we must be mindful of the risks of retraumatising others in what we share. This forum is not a space to undertake your healing journey or have your experiences validated. If you need additional support, we suggest you contact our Support Service team at <a href=\"mailto:inbox@actiononspiritualabuse.org.uk\">inbox@actiononspiritualabuse.org.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivor voice is an important and valuable part of collective wisdom. All content, including victim\/survivor voice should meet the aims of the Spiritual Abuse Collective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Moderation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Where forum members do not meet these guidelines, the following actions may be taken:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Removing content and asking that you edit or amend before you repost<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giving a warning of future action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporarily suspending your account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Removing your account permanently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The level of action will depend on seriousness and whether behaviour is repeated or a pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Process for contacting Moderator.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is limited capacity for moderation. There is a collective responsibility for self-management of the Community Forum. All Forum members should identify and report issues to the moderator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a post needs moderator attention, there is a \u2018Report\u2019 link on the top-right of every post. That will add the post to a queue moderators watch and follow up on weekdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If immediate action is necessary, or the situation is not limited to a specific post, users should email <a href=\"mailto:inbox@actiononspiritualabuse.org.uk\">inbox@actiononspiritualabuse.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>These Guidelines will continue to evolve over time.
